As climate pressures intensify and mass bleaching accelerates, scientists in Thailand have come up with an ice cool solution: cryopreserve coral larvae and their symbiotic algae to create a living “seed bank.” By storing genetic diversity at -196°C, scientists hope to buy reefs, and the ocean's ecosystem, precious time...
