Taking place in the UAE, united action and ambitious pledges are expected from governments to tackle the climate crisis and limit global warming.

    COP28 will be the 28th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference, which has been going since 1995.

    Breaking down the jargon

     

    The Global Stocktake is a process taking place every five years to assess the world’s progress towards meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement. The first one will conclude at COP28, prompting governments to use the findings to inform and accelerate action on climate change.
