    'The rule of 70' states that dividing 70 by an economy's growth rate determines the time taken for it to double. An economy like Mozambique, which grows at 7% per year, will double in 10 years.

      Degrowth refers to the democratic reduction of energy and resource use in a way that is equitable and improves human well-being. It is related to post-growth, which is an umbrella term for economies that reorganise production around societal and planetary well-being rather than consumption.
